I really enjoy finding regularities, patterns in thigns, this is how my brain is routed 😅 So over time (once I was past several bigger or smaller failures) I naturally started looking for a way to categorize these failures.
Just keep in mind that there aren't really random accidents and coincidences, most things have a reason, a root, just like our failures. You rarely fail because of a meaningless coincidence, so it's always possible to learn from them.
The "fake self-improvement" framing cuts through a lot of noise.
Most of us call it a discipline problem and move on, naming it as a skills gap is a different diagnosis entirely.
Btw just curious, what made you finally see it as a pattern rather than just a bad streak?
